Safeguarding Ones Health
You have a far greater chance of being incapacitated due to an accident or illness than being beaten senseless by an assailant, so care must be taken to avoid violating safety rules or allowing oneself to become exposed to disease (regularly washing ones hands and avoiding cross-contamination in the kitchen will significantly reduce your chance of infection). If you are ill or injured, you will be far less capable of adequately defending yourself. It is of the utmost importance that you safeguard your health.
Three things that wreak havoc with ones metabolism are the frequent use of commercial tobacco products, distilled spirits, and illicit recreational chemicals. These poisons, which many pathetic sheep are hopelessly addicted to, will gradually destroy ones earthly form from the inside out. If you are dependant upon regular usage of one of the aforementioned poisons, and lack the willpower to better yourself, then you also lack the warrior mentality. Be honest with yourself.
Another mire which many fall into is the realm of squalor. Not only must you be clean and present a squared away appearance to the general public, but your home and workplace must be clean and organized as well. It need not be able to pass a military inspection, but if you can be able to straighten your house up for unexpected company in under five minutes, that would be considered acceptable. Slothfulness (as evidenced by overflowing wastebaskets, a pile of unwashed laundry, and a sink full of dirty dishes) is usually a result of despair and listlessness rather than a lack of time in which to do the work. Without regular attendance to ones household responsibilities, one can easily create a disgusting environment that breeds bacteria, infestation, and the contempt of others. Before one can better themselves, they must be willing to create and maintain suitable conditions for the work ahead.
If you become ill, you should immediately cease consumption of foods containing an abundance of fat or sugar, and avoid cigarette smoke. You should drink plenty of fluids, take a break from exercising, and get sufficient rest. Many people advise loading up on multi-vitamins and herbal supplements (particularly echinacea and panax ginseng). Others recommend drinking apple cider vinegar (premium brands only) diluted in fruit juice or water. Fresh garlic and raw onion is also helpful. One supplement that many people have had good luck with is called "Esberitox" (which is available from many health food stores), and contains a blend of wild indigo root (baptisa tinctoria), coneflower root (echinacea purpurea), and white cedar leaf (thuja occidentalis), which combine to boost ones immune system.
Ones health should be of the upmost importance. Without health, the benefits of wealth, power, and love cannot be enjoyed. Do not allow your health to be jeopardized through carelessness or neglect.
