THE FINAL WORD
The Temple has completed its website project.
The experiment has been a success, and we have accomplished each of our unstated goals.
This website was initiated on April Fools Day of the year 2000. At the time of this writing, it has been operational for over three years. During that time, we received over a thousand e-mails through the Temples three e-mail accounts. A small fraction of these contacts were deemed worthy to wear the RWT patch.
A small number of individuals who were entrusted with the 6th degree Password did post certain inflammatory or questionable materials inappropriately. For the most part, these materials have since been deleted, and the individuals responsible have been dealt with. The Password has been changed, and since the project is over it was decided that the new Password would not be circulated. We do not foresee any future additions to the RWT website.
As time progressed, we noted that the tone of the Temples postings began to get darker. It had shifted its focus from Warriorship to other things. Soon it began to appear as if the Temple was getting involved with politics and the occult. While some of our members do have interests in these areas, it is not reflective of the Temple as a whole. Several members did return their patches to us with the request that we delete their information from our records as a result of this. Due to several factors, it was decided that all accumulated membership data would be destroyed as a precautionary security measure.
After reading some of our postings, a number of individuals seemed to think that the Temple was "unpatriotic" or "subversive." Perhaps we are, as it seems that the meaning of these words has changed dramatically over the past decade. However, we are by no means "unAmerican" or "anti-government." We love the principals upon which this once great country was allegedly founded, and we would gladly pledge our allegiance to a government which proved itself to be benevolent and trustworthy. We may be "pro-freedom" and concerned about our deteriorating Civil Rights, but we have always been apolitical, moderate, middle-of-the-roaders when it comes to such things. This is readily apparent when one compares and contrasts our satirical essays and historical quotations against the hateful rants found at a wide variety of other sites from the "paranoid conspiracy kooks" (both real and fake) to the ultra-conservative nationalistic firebrands in support of the current administration. We have always strived to remain open-minded and reasonable.
Since the experiment is over, there is no longer any need for us to maintain a public link to our e-mail service. The accounts will remain active indefinitely, but we can no longer guarantee that queries will be replied to. There is nothing more for us to teach you. The answers you seek lie within.
